Al is a partner who practices in the areas of corporate and securities law with an emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, as well as advising companies with respect to securities regulatory compliance matters. Al routinely acts as counsel to both issuers and investment dealers. Al is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he has taught Commercial Law and Securities Law. He regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on a variety of topics within his practice areas. Al articled in the legal department Ontario Power Generation, later joining the corporate finance department. Al joined the firm in 2003.Background

While a student at Western Law, Al was awarded a number of academic awards, including the Dean Ivan C. Rand Honour Society Award (selection based upon meritorious academic standing throughout undergraduate years in law and outstanding contributions in the service of Faculty of Law students), the Mary Warner Prize in Human Rights Law and the Criminal Lawyers' Association Prize in Criminal Law.
