Colin practises in the areas of corporate finance, asset management and corporate/commercial law. He has acted on a variety of matters representing both issuers and investment dealers, including public and private financings, acquisitions, mergers and corporate reorganizations.Colin also practises in the Waterloo Office with a focus on advising start-up technology companies.
Background
Colin joined the firm as an articling student in 2010. He obtained his B.Comm from the University of Toronto and his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. At law school, Colin was the recipient of the McMillan Binch Mendelsohn Award for overall academic achievement in his first year and was honoured upon graduation for his standing in the top 10% of his class. In 2008, he served as a summer law student at the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) where he assisted on player contract negotiations and salary arbitrations.Education
