Deepti joined the firm as a summer student in 2009 and her practice is focused on tax law, including both corporate and income tax, and corporate and securities law.

Background

While at Western Law, Deepti completed a paper titled “Gender Politics: Refugee Definition & the Safe Third Country Agreement” which addressed the procedural barriers encountered by refugee women in applying for asylum in Canada. This paper was later published in the 2010-2011 general issue of The Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.

Deepti was raised in New Delhi, India and is fluent in Hindi.
