Susan Mitchell is a senior associate with the firm who practises in the areas of Corporate Finance, Corporate/Commercial, Debt Products, Mergers &Acquisitions and Corporate Governance. Susan works on a variety of transactions, including domestic and cross-border public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and restructurings, secured lending, joint ventures, and private equity-related transactions. She advises clients in diverse industries on a variety of corporate and commercial contracts and arrangements, as well as advising publicly listed companies and dealers in connection with their ongoing corporate governance and securities law compliance obligations.Background
Susan obtained her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in both the Toronto and Vancouver offices of Stikeman Elliott LLP. Susan is the firm’s representative to the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Justicia Project.Susan participates in a number of community and volunteer initiatives and serves, or has served, as a director or on the executive team of a number of organizations, including:
- Toronto Dragon Boat Championships 2011 (Organizing Committee for the 2011 ICF Dragon Boat Club Crew World Championships)
- Dragon Boat Canada – Bateau Dragon Canada (2006 to 2011)
