On May 4, 2004, CanWel Building Materials Limited (TSX: CWX), a national distributor in the Canadian building materials and related products sector, completed a $43.5 million initial public offering of common shares. The offering was lead by GMP Securities Ltd. and included CIBC World Markets Inc., Canaccord Capital Corporation, Dundee Securities Corporation and First Associates Investments Inc.
