Saputo Completes the Acquisition of the Assets of Shepherd Gourmet Dairy

Saputo Inc. has completed the acquisition of all the business assets and operations of Shepherd Gourmet Dairy (Ontario) Inc. for a purchase price of $100 million, on a debt-free-basis. Shepherd Gourmet, which has a manufacturing facility located in St. Marys, Ontario (Canada) and employs approximately 90 people, manufactures, markets and distributes a variety of specialty cheeses, yogurt, as well as Skyr Icelandic-style yogurt in Canada.
