Wildeboer Dellelce Welcomes Four New Lawyers

We are delighted to welcome Sarim Ali, Colin Romano, Natalie Tershakowec and Sarah Wahba to the firm as lawyers.

 

Sarim is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of banking and secured financings, asset management and investment funds, and corporate and commercial law. Sarim joined the firm as a summer student in 2018 and articled with the firm in 2019-2020. Sarim earned a Juris Doctor from Western University’s Faculty of Law. He also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. While in law school, Sarim was actively involved with the Business Law Speakers Committee. Prior to law school, Sarim worked in a marketing agency in a sales and business development role. Outside of law, Sarim is continuing to pursue his interest in finance and investment management, having completed the Canadian Securities Course, Investment Funds in Canada, Islamic Finance Qualification, and Alternative Investments with Harvard Business School Online.

 

Colin is a lawyer in our tax practice. Colin joined the firm as a summer student in 2018 and articled with the firm in 2019-2020. Colin earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (with distinction) from Concordia University. While at the University of Toronto, Colin volunteered with Downtown Legal Services’ Tenant Duty Counsel Assistance Program, where he helped with client outreach and intake at Toronto’s Landlord Tenant Board, and was a working group member at the David Asper Centre, where he helped draft a submission to the Department of Justice on the retention and use of personal information in national security matters.

 

Natalie is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. Natalie joined the firm as a summer student in 2018 and articled with the firm in 2019-2020. Natalie earned a Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) from Queen’s University. During her time in law school, Natalie co-created and organized the Ottawa Law Classic, raising approximately $25,000 in two years for Do It For Daron, an Ottawa youth mental health charity. She also sat on the Faculty’s English Program Assembly as a student representative and was an active member of the University of Ottawa’s Ukrainian Students’ Club.

 

Sarah is a lawyer practising primarily in the areas of corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law. Sarah joined the firm as a summer student in 2018 and articled with the firm in 2019-2020. Sarah earned a Juris Doctor (with distinction) from the Faculty of Law at Western University, where she was a recipient of the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize. Prior to law school, she studied Psychology and obtained a general Bachelor of Arts degree (with high distinction) from Wilfrid Laurier University, where she was the recipient of the Alumni Bronze Medal. Prior to law school, she was a research assistant to a professor in the Faculty of Science at Wilfrid Laurier University, assisting in the administration of cognitive neuroscience and collective cognition experiments.
