Sports and Entertainment Overview
In our Sports and Entertainment practice, we provide a wide range of legal corporate and commercial services including, but not limited to, corporate tax and individual tax planning, agency, licensing and franchise agreements, sponsorships, endorsements, broadcast rights, talent management and business combination agreements. The firm currently acts for a number of sports and entertainment related entities including, Wild Media Inc., the National Basketball League of Canada, the Canadian Premier League and Canada’s Walk of Fame. Recently we have been retained by Bell Media, the mass media subsidiary of BCE.
Jeff Bookman recently joined our firm to grow our Sports and Entertainment practice. Jeff has extensive experience in the industry and previously practised at entertainment law firms in Toronto and Los Angeles, where he represented production companies, financiers, distributors, broadcasters, and talent (actors, writers and directors) in connection with the development, financing, production and distribution of film, television and new media projects.
In addition, Wildeboer Dellelce is one of the first Canadian law firms to launch a practice focused on the esports industry. Lawyers in our esports practice group provide advice in connection with a full range of corporate, commercial, securities and tax law matters. The firm currently acts for some of Canada’s most promising, emerging esports companies and related platforms.
